However due to NBC's coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing beginning August 8, America's Got Talent will take a brief hiatus, with its final pre-hiatus episode airing Thursday, August 7 at 9:30PM ET/PT. The last pre-Olympics episode will feature the season's Top 40 semifinalists being revealed.
America's Got Talent's third season will then return August 26, with performance episode broadcasts airing Tuesdays at 9PM ET/PT and results shows airing on Wednesdays at 8PM ET/PT until the October 1 finale.
