MTV has denied a report that Teen Mom 2 is being canceled due to Jenelle Evans' recent erratic behavior and outbursts.

While The New York Post reported on Monday the network is pulling the plug on Teen Mom 2 because "out-of-control" Evans -- who recently became pregnant for a second time, got married to Courtland Rogers, allegedly suffered a miscarriage, and tweeted she desperately wants a divorce -- has become a liability for the show, MTV has suggested that's not the case.

"No decision has been made yet regarding a fifth season of Teen Mom 2," a network representative told Entertainment Weekly. "But the network is planning to air the fourth season this year and will announce the premiere date soon."

According to The Post, Evans' antics have made MTV think twice about whether to continue the series since the network is protective of its image. Sources told the newspaper that producers are worried the "loose-cannon" reality TV star undermines the purpose of the show, which is giving viewers a "cautionary" perspective on the troubles of young motherhood.

"Jenelle is nothing but bad publicity for MTV," an insider told The Post. "She feeds off the public and the recognition of the fans, and I don't see why they would want to have anything to do with that."

Teen Mom producers are reportedly still dealing with the aftermath from original Teen Mom cast member Amber Portwood, so Evans has been strengthening the burden. However, Teen Mom 2 has been delivering strong ratings since its third season premiered in November.

The fourth and alleged final season of Teen Mom 2 has already wrapped filming.
