Mischa Barton came across a bit abrasive on Dancing with the Stars this season, but according to a production insider, she was even worse backstage.

"Some people are claiming that Mischa is the most self-entitled and rude celebrity that the employees of the show have ever had to work with! She does not discriminate who she is rude to either," the insider told RadarOnline.

The former The O.C. star and her pro partner Artem Chigvintsev landed at the bottom of the judges' leaderboard three weeks in a row on Dancing with the Stars, and two of those times, only one couple scored worse. It was clear the judges' criticism greatly affected her.

"Mischa [was] just not coming off as a nice person," the insider said.

"It is really quite unfortunate because when she first came on the show, members of the cast and crew said they were hoping that she was going to be the person that they used to love watching on TV. They were actually really excited to meet her."

Viewers saw footage of Barton complaining on set and barking at Chigvintsev when their routines didn't go as planned.

When Geraldo Rivera was eliminated from the show, the insider told RadarOnline, "Everyone hugged him, except for Mischa."

"Misha had practically no response at all to Geraldo getting kicked off," added the source. "All that did was add to the feeling on set that Misha does not want to be there, and she just wants to take the money and run."

Barton and Chigvintsev were just eliminated during Monday night's show and their ouster didn't seem to spark much of an emotional reaction from the rest of the cast. Barton noted half-heartedly to DWTS host Tom Bergeron and co-host Erin Andrews she had a fun time and was glad she did the show.
