Back-to-back Dancing with the Stars finals losses apparently have professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy feeling like a bridesmaid that never gets to be a bride.

"If this is the limit of where I can get in the show, well then let it be," said Chmerkovskiy during Wednesday's Extra broadcast.  "I'm satisfied and moving on."

When Extra co-anchor Dayna Devon asked Chmerkovskiy if that means he "thinks it's time to move on" from Dancing with the Stars, he replied, "Yeah."

According to Chmerkovskiy, he's already got several new projects lined up, including a Las Vegas show.

"I've already been asked to choreograph other huge projects in Germany and in China and Macau," Chmerkovskiy told Extra during a follow-up segment that aired on Thursday's broadcast of the syndicated entertainment news program.

The 27-year-old native Ukrainian and his fifth-season celebrity partner -- Spice Girl Melanie Brown -- finished second during Tuesday night's live Dancing with the Stars finale broadcast, which saw IndyCar race Helio Castroneves and his professional partner Julianne Hough take home the title

While Chmerkovskiy and Brown were the fifth-season's highest-scoring couple with five perfect 30s, he still had to watch Hough take home her second consecutive mirror ball trophy as a professional on the show.

Dancing's fifth season was the second straight installment Chmerkovskiy made it to the finale, as he and fourth-season celebrity partner -- professional boxer Laila Ali -- were the third couple eliminated during the Spring 2007 edition of the show, which Hough won with Apolo Anton Ohno.

Chmerkovskiy first participated as a Dancing with the Stars professional during the show's second season, when he was partnered with actress Tia Carrere and finished sixth.  He was paired with singer Willa Ford for the show's third season and finished seventh.

"I don't want to look back 10 years from now and see my life as a failure," Chmerkovsliy said in OK! Weekly's December 3 issue.
