Lauren Alaina's time on Dancing with the Stars is apparently transforming her body, as she's lost a whopping 25 pounds from practicing and performing with her professional partner Gleb Savchenko.

"I've lost, like, 25 pounds since July," Lauren, the runner-up of American Idol's tenth season told Us Weekly. "None of my clothes fit."

"You're welcome," Gleb playfully chimed in.

The country music star and Gleb are still in the running for Dancing with the Stars' Season 28 mirrorball trophy.

Lauren has been improving week to week, and she and Gleb have yet to land in the bottom-two couples based on Dancing with the Stars judges' scores and home-viewer votes on elimination nights.

On Monday night's performance show, Lauren and Gleb danced an emotional contemporary routine to her song "The Other Side" in honor of Lauren's deceased stepfather Sam Ramker that received 26 out of 30 points from Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman.

Combined with their judges' scores from last week, Lauren and Gleb tied for sixth place on the two-week leaderboard with The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown and her partner Alan Bersten.

Lauren said she wrote "The Other Side" based on the final words her stepfather had to say before he peacefully passed away in their living room.

Sam died at age 47 on October 21, 2018, according to Us, which was exactly one year before Lauren took the stage with Gleb to pay tribute to his life.

"There's a moment when I ran to the side in the dance, and somehow my mother's seat was literally where I had to run," Lauren recalled to the magazine after Monday night's Dancing with the Stars broadcast.

"My job was to look at the camera and I did look at the camera, but as soon as I saw that little red light go away, I looked at my mom and that's when I started crying. I was like, 'Dang it!' Mid-dance, I kind of started crying, but I'd stopped."

Lauren also said she was very proud of her performance that night, which took a lot of courage and composure to execute.

"My stepdad was the most positive, uplifting, happy person I've ever met, and if he had been here tonight, he would've been the most proud of me," Lauren shared.

"I just kept thinking during the dance and before the dance, 'I just wanna make him proud, and do this for my mom.' Her worst nightmare happened on this day last year. So the fact that we're even here and we got to do that dance is just a huge blessing. I feel really proud."

Lauren also complimented Gleb for coming up with "the best choreography" for their routine.

"I was crying learning it every day," Lauren admitted.

On Monday, October 28, Dancing with the Stars' eight remaining couples will surprise and spook fans with "Halloween Night" performances, including team dances, and one more couple is expected to be eliminated from the Season 28 competition.
