Kim Kardashian has reportedly learned a valuable lesson from being robbed at gunpoint, that she will no longer flaunt her valuables.

According to sources, the 35-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has said, "Material things mean nothing. It's not all about the money. It's not worth it," TMZ reported.

Kardashian may be scarred for life after two masked men dressed as police officers tied her up in a Paris hotel room and stole about $10 million in jewelry earlier this week.

Kardashian allegedly agrees with critics in that she made herself a target because she flashes her jewelry all over social media. She even posed with her $4.5 million diamond engagement ring shortly before the robbery.

The reality TV star therefore intends to pull back in a big way by choosing not to display her wealth anymore, according to TMZ. She'll also be less ostentatious with the promotion of her fashion line.

Kardashian has already taken such measures in the past few days by postponing upcoming appearances, hiding from the public and avoiding social media in general.

After previously reporting Kardashian is "emotionally damaged" from the robbery in which she was tied up and gagged, an insider close to Kardashian told E! News she's taking a month off from work and will be visiting with a therapist to discuss the scare in "deeper lengths."

Her husband, Kanye West, postponed shows on his Saint Pablo Tour to be at Kardashian's side. He's also reportedly already working toward replacing the giant engagement ring stolen from her.

"Kanye has been so supportive to Kim and is being a really great husband through all of this. Kim is extremely sensitive and Kanye is just letting her do her and heal," the insider explained.

"He is pissed, though, and really wants to make these people pay for what they put his wife through. He plans on getting her new jewelry by Lorraine [Schwartz] and this diamond might just be bigger."

So how will an even bigger ring fit in with Kardashian's alleged new plan to be humble and modest?

"She wants another ring eventually and she will just be very careful on how she displays it going forward," the insider told E! News

"Her jewelry is part of her and she is not blaming herself for wearing the diamonds she's been given. She knows that her image is what makes Kim, Kim. She just has to be very careful going forward. She will be getting 24/7 security when she travels going forward."
