Kate Gosselin is remaining upbeat despite TLC's announcement that the network has decided not to renew her Kate Plus 8 reality series for a third season.

"We've had a great run! Six years of whirlwind funfilled adventures thanks to TLC and our many many supportive [and] diehard fans!" Gosselin wrote in a series of Twitter postings on Monday.

According to Gosselin, she has mixed emotions about TLC's decision to cancel Kate Plus 8, which began as Jon & Kate Plus 8 in 2007 before being relaunched as Kate Plus 8 last year following Gosselin's 2009 divorce from former husband Jon Gosselin.

"While it is very sad for me and the kids (there were many tears at the breakfast table this morning!), we are looking forward with great anticipation to our bright future!" she wrote.

"I am choosing to see the positive in this situation and I am excited to consider many more invigorating opportunities that may come my way! I poured my entire self [into] last 6 years of Kate Plus 8 [and] I can't wait [to] have the chance [to] challenge myself again [with] future endeavors!"

While she didn't detail what she envisions her "future endeavors" being, Gosselin did reveal what she plans to do in the meantime.

"In the mean, I hope [to] have more time [for] motivational speaking, book writing [and] other fun work opportunities that come my way... And maybe even some dating??!! " she wrote.

However, Gosselin did confirm she hopes to continue working in television in a later reply to a fan who asked if the reality star planned to return to her former nursing career.

"I plan on staying on TV :) But if I have to to provide for my 8 lovelies, of course!" Gosselin replied.

Kate Plus 8's series finale will air Monday, September 12.
