Kara DioGuardi to star in "Chicago" on Broadway this September

Kara DioGuardi is taking her musical talents to the Broadway stage.

The Platinum Hit and former American Idol judge will make her Broadway debut September 5, taking on the role of Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning revival of "Chicago," The Associated Press reported Friday.
"I'm very excited!" DioGuardi said during a Friday appearance on Live! with Regis & Kelly.
DioGuardi will reportedly star in "Chicago" -- which debuted in 1996 and is the fifth longest-running Broadway production in history -- for eight weeks.
While DioGuardi is an accomplished songwriter and singer, she admitted she is more concerned about the dancing aspect of the musical.
"I have to say the dancing's the problem, because I'm not a great dancer... My hips have never moved the way they're moving now. I'm really working hard on it," DioGuardi added.
