The 34-year-old actress detailed the ordeal to Us Weekly after competing as scheduled on Monday's episode.

Sweetin was hospitalized Thursday after injuring her ankle during rehearsals with partner Keo Motsepe.

"I was in so much pain," Sweetin admitted. "I thought for sure, with the way I rolled my foot and [Keo] fell on the outside bone, that that was it. I was in so much pain I thought there was no way that the bone couldn't be broken."

"[I went to the hospital and the X-ray technician] said, 'I don't see anything broken!'" she recalled. "I was like, 'Oh my God!' Just the amount of relief I felt when she said that. I was so scared. I didn't want to be done!"

Sweetin said she "instantly knew something was very wrong" with her ankle in a blog post for People magazine. She was diagnosed with "a bad bone bruise" at the hospital but given permission to return to rehearsals.

"I definitely was really nervous to get back in the rehearsal room," the star wrote. "Even before my injury, we were only able to rehearse the dance a couple of times the full way through each day because of the physical strain it was putting on our bodies."

Sweetin and Motsepe scored a 25 out of 30 with their contemporary dance to "Try" by Pink on Monday. The pair are the fifth-highest scoring couple in the competition, which airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
