The 47-year-old singer and actress gushed on Monday's episode of "Today" about making her red carpet debut as a couple with Rodriguez at the annual event this month.

"We had an amazing time," she told hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie. "We had a great time. We went in, we danced. It was awesome."

Lopez and Rodriguez looked the picture-perfect couple on the Met Gala red carpet last week. The singer was later spotted dancing during Migos' performance while Rodriguez remained seated.

"He's a good dancer," she told Today after a moment's hesitation. "He has a great time. One of the things I love is that he loves to dance, and I love to dance."

"I never said he couldn't dance," the star said in response to Kotb and Guthrie's teasing. "He can dance. He dances the merengue. He dances all the important stuff for me."

Lopez and Rodriguez were first linked in March and confirmed their relationship the same month.

The singer had nothing but praise for Rodriguez during an interview Thursday with "The Late Late Show" with James Corden.

"He's the best. You would love him," she told Corden. "Honestly, he's a great guy. He's fun. He's awesome."

Lopez previously dated Drake, and shares twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Rodriguez, a 41-year-old retired New York Yankees player, is dad to daughters Natasha and Ella with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
