The Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick has revealed if he'd be interested in starring on The Bachelor now that his relationship with ex-fiancee Kaitlyn Bristowe is over.

"I don't know," Jason said with a laugh, initially reluctant to share his answer during a recent episode of his "Trading Secrets" podcast.

"I've seen some people in my comments say that, and on posts. It's always super, super kind of people when they say that. That's nice."

Jason apparently thinks he's "probably too old" to be the Bachelor given he recently turned 35.

"I think, you know, 35 for a Bachelor is kind of old," Jason noted, later adding, "They're going to have do an... Almost Golden Bachelor."

However, both Nick Viall and Arie Luyendyk Jr. were 36-years-old when they filmed their respective The Bachelor seasons. Brad Womack was 38 when he taped The Bachelor's fifteenth season, and Byron Velvick was 40-years-old when he began his journey to find love on Season 6.

Gerry Turner also starred on the debut season of The Golden Bachelor last year at age 72.

"I don't think I'm ever -- ever -- going to have to worry about that predicament because I believe my ex kind of has a hold on that franchise," Jason continued, referencing Kaitlyn's decade-long history and connection with The Bachelor franchise.

Kaitlyn competed for Chris Soules' heart on The Bachelor's nineteenth season and proceeded to star on The Bachelorette's eleventh season.

Kaitlyn also co-hosted two seasons of The Bachelorette, Katie Thurston and Michelle Young's seasons, alongside Tayshia Adams.

In addition, Kaitlyn co-hosts the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast, which has strong ties to Bachelor Nation, and she's also made appearances on The Golden Wedding, Bachelor in Paradise, and The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart.

"I don't know. I guess time will tell. I don't think the franchise has any interest in ever knocking on my door for anything," Jason said with a laugh.

"So it's hard to answer that," he added.

But Jason revealed, "If you're sitting there saying, 'If they came to your door right now, today, would you consider it?' The answer is, 'Of course, I would consider it.' I don't think they're coming to my door any time soon, let's just say that."

When asked if he thinks starring on The Bachelor would impact his business in a positive way, Jason insisted that he wouldn't think about finances when potentially accepting such a role.

"I'll say this: if I do any type of reality show, or if I were to do another reality show, I wouldn't at all care about the money because it's such a short-term way of thinking about it," Jason shared.

"I'd think, 'Does it make sense or not for me to do, just for my current infrastructure and the current things I have going on?'"

Jason elaborated, "For me, if any show came to me, I would be much, much more inclined to say, 'I'm not worried about what I'm paid, but how does the contract tie me up? What are the things to think about?'"

The Bachelorette 14 alum revealed that "a few shows" have approached him and "talked to" him.

"There's a couple that I'm still like, 'Give me more information. Let's talk,'" he said. "And there are a couple I turned down, but I have no idea," Jason said. "I guess we'll have to see! But this is 2024 -- the year of impulse and, 'Let's just do it!' So I don't know!"

Jason concluded, "Why not?! Why the hell not?!"

When asked if Jason will be on a TV screen in 2024, Jason replied, "I'll say Vegas odds -- 55 percent chance yes [and] 45 percent chance no."

Jason said he'd most likely appear on an unscripted show in that case.

Jason has been attempting to heal and move on from his August 2023 split with Kaitlyn, who now appears to be dating Tayshia's ex-fiancee and The Bachelorette 16 winner Zac Clark.

Kaitlyn and Zac rang in 2024 together at a party in Kaitlyn's new Nashville home, and they were recently spotted dancing together and hugging at a bar in New York City, where Zac currently resides.

Kaitlyn has faced backlash about her apparent new romance with Zac -- including speculation she had cheated on Jason while they were still together and also broken "girl code" with Tayshia -- but the former Dancing with the Stars champion claimed on social media earlier this year that she was never unfaithful to Jason.

"Some of you [are] treating me like I murdered someone," Kaitlyn wrote in a series of posts via Instagram Stories earlier this year.

"You would think by now I'd be used to the hate. I'm not. Your words hurt. Your shaming hurts. Part of me feels a little sad and honestly embarrassed for you guys because this shouldn't be how you spend Day 1 of a new year."

The Bachelor alum also noted, "But you don't even know the truth, and your HATE should actually come with consequences. I truly worry about some of your mental health. It's not OK. It's. Not."

Kaitlyn subsequently appeared to address her relationship with Zac by writing, "I wish I could just share my truth and tell you my side. It's hard to bite my dang tongue sometimes... But you just go on and continue to have your own little made up story in your head and believe what you want to believe. Social media la la land. Good lawwwddd."

Kaitlyn proceeded to post a screenshot of her exchange with someone who wrote to Kaitlyn, "But like they don't know the truth or any backstory. It's wild... Like go volunteer. Go give blood plz."

According to the Instagram account @BachelorNation.scoop, Kaitlyn began liking Zac's Instagram photos in July 2023 after about a year of no likes, Zac started liking Kaitlyn's photos in May 2023, and Jason stopped liking Zac's photos in early October 2023.

Jason, who initially competed for Becca Kufrin's heart on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season in 2018, asked Kaitlyn out on their first date in January 2019, and their romance moved quickly.

Jason moved from his place in Seattle, Washington to live with Kaitlyn in Nashville in June 2019, and then the couple adopted their two dogs together and got engaged in Spring 2021.

However, Jason and Kaitlyn -- who was engaged to her The Bachelorette 11 winner Shawn Booth before getting involved with Jason -- split in Summer 2023.

For Zac's part, he got engaged to Tayshia on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season finale in 2020.

But about one year after their engagement aired on ABC, Zac and Tayshia announced their breakup in November 2021.

Tayshia is currently dating former Summer House star Luke Gulbranson.
