Gretchen Rossi has gotten engaged to boyfriend Slade Smiley -- and she was the one to pop the question.

"She proposed to him on top of the AT&T building in LA," a source close to the couple told In Touch, adding that the proposal was a surprise and will air on television. "She had him flown up there via helicopter for the dramatic proposal."
Rossi apparently had no problem with taking a nontraditional approach to her engagement.
"A guy doesn't always have to do it [propose]," Rossi said prior to making her grand gesture. "He can still do it, but maybe I might too. If he doesn't do something soon, I might have to!"
The reality TV star and Smiley both told the magazine recently they're so happy and have fun together.
Rossi and Smiley's engagement marks the second time they've both been engaged on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Smiley was previously engaged to Jo De La Rosa, who was one of The Real Housewives of Orange County's original stars, but they split up in 2007.
Rossi joined The Real Housewives of Orange County during its fourth season and was engaged to Jeff Beitzel, however he died from cancer in 2008 before they wed.
While Smiley has never been married before, this will be the second marriage for Rossi -- who divorced ex-husband Chris Rossi in 2007.
