'Ghost Hunters' to return with eighth-season episodes beginning September 5

Syfy has announcedGhost Hunters will return with 14 new additional eighth-season episodes beginning Wednesday, September 5 at 9PM ET/PT.

Following the recent departure of investigator Grant Wilson, The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS) is in a period of transition and, with Jason Hawes onboard, will head to the south for some "Southern Spirits"-themed broadcasts, according to the network.
TAPS will first visit Charleston, South Carolina and then move on to "haunted hotspots" including Louisiana's Alexandria Zoo and the French Quarter in New Orleans.
Ghost Hunters is produced by Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Studios and executive produced by Piligian, Thomas Thayer, Mike Nichols, and Alan David.
