Fox has announced that Mean Girls and Freaky Friday director Mark Waters will serve as guest judge during the Tuesday, June 26 episode of On the Lot, the Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg-created American Idol-like movie-making reality competition series that aims to find the country's next great filmmaker.
During the June 26 broadcast, one of the aspiring filmmakers from the third group of On the Lot's initial Top 15 finalists will be eliminated based on viewer votes cast after last week's episode. In addition, the broadcast will also feature six of the newly-revealed Top 12 finalists screening new individual short comedy films for the show's home viewers.
Fox has also announced that Hostel director Eli Roth will serve as On the Lot's guest judge during the following week's July 3 broadcast in which one of the six finalists who screened their individual short comedy films on the June 26 broadcast will be eliminated and the six other remaining Top 12 finalists will screen new horror films.
Both Waters and Roth will serve as guest judges along with regular On the Lot judges Carrie Fisher and Garry Marshall.
