Melissa Rycroft is changing her surname to reflect her recent marriage.
While the rejected The Bachelor bachelorette and former Dancing with the Stars celebrity participant has decided to legally change her surname to that of new husband Ty Strickland -- whom she married last month in Mexico -- she still plans on using her maiden name for work.
"Strickland will probably just be for personal use, since most people know me as Rycroft," she posted on Twitter. Rycroft and Strickland got engaged in June -- less than eight months after she got engaged to Jason Mesnick during the taping of The Bachelor's thirteenth-season Final Rose Ceremony in November 2008. However Mesnick later dumped her on-air in favor of runner-up Molly Malaney during a January taping of the season's After the Final Rose special. Mesnick and Malaney subsequently got engaged in November. Since being dumped by Mesnick, Rycroft competed on Dancing with the Stars eighth season this past spring and has also worked as a correspondent for ABC's Good Morning America.
