Flipping Out star Jenni Pulos is expecting her first child with new husband Jonathan Nassos.

"I still can't believe this is happening," Pulos told Us Weekly in the magazine's January 14 issue.

"I won't lie: I'm scared! I'm like, 'How am I going to be a mom? I'm so immature!' But I'm going for it. It's so exciting."

Pulos, who is currently 17 weeks along, reportedly discovered she was pregnant on October 30 when her doctor had left her a voicemail. The news shocked everyone, as Pulos had suffered a miscarriage shortly before conceiving again, Us reported.

"It was the best surprise. I never knew it was fairly common to get pregnant after a miscarriage. Later, we stared at our ultrasound and said, 'Wow. Life is crazy!" Pulos explained, adding that she and Nassos believed it may be difficult for her to get pregnant considering she's 40 years old.

"He married an old cougar!" Pulos joked of her 35-year-old husband, who's an orthopedic surgeon. "I didn't think it would happen so quickly. I was open to IVF or adoption."

The couple wed in May in a ceremony featured on the recent season of Flipping Out. Pulos then got pregnant only several months into their marriage, which is when she unfortunately had the miscarriage. It wasn't until Pulos went for a routine follow-up exam that her doctor found out she was expecting again.

Pulos is apparently convinced Nassos will be a good dad, according to Us.

"I see the kind of son and brother he is, and I know he'll be a great father. Right now he's dad to our dogs [cattle mix Lulu and pug Janet]. He even gets them to kiss my belly," she said.

Pulos plans to wait until the baby is born to find out whether they'll raise a girl or a boy. However, the reality TV star -- who serves as Flipping Out boss Jeff Lewis' executive assistant -- and Nassos are already brainstorming baby names.

"If it's a boy, we're giving him a Greek name," Pulos said of the couple's shared heritage, adding that Lewis hopes they'll call their baby Jeff.

Although unplanned and unexpected, Pulos told Us she's ready to take on the challenge of parenthood.

"Life throws you curveballs. So I'm embracing the news and taking things as they come!" she noted.
