Flip or Flop will reportedly have a different vibe than seasons past when it returns.

When Flip or Flop returns to HGTV with 15 new episodes on Thursday, May 31 at 9PM ET/PT, viewers are going to see a different side to Christina El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa's partnership, Us Weekly reported.

"[This season is] a little bit more edgy," a source close to Christina told Us. "They're showcasing a more personal side, that they are an ex-husband and ex-wife having disagreements."

Tarek, 39, and Christina, 34, have been filming these new Season 7 episodes for about one year now despite their divorce.

The source explained that Christina and Tarek won't exactly be "at each other's throats," according to the magazine, but "tension" between the pair will be evident.

Fans, for example, will reportedly witness Christina walking off the set as Tarek grows irritated by his ex-wife's word choice.

The upcoming season "will definitely shed more light on their relationship and be more interesting," added the source.

Flip or Flop will continue to follow Christina and Tarek as they buy dilapidated houses in Southern California, transform them into beautifully renovated homes, and flip them for profit.

The new episodes of the show, however, will chronicle challenges other than ones associated with home renovations, as Tarek and Christina also must maneuver through their new relationship status as exes who have remained business partners and attempt to amicably co-parent their children Brayden and Taylor.

Christina and Tarek finalized their divorce back in January, one year after Tarek initially filed the paperwork in court and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their seven-year marriage ending.

The HGTV reality stars publicly announced their split in December 2016 although they quietly separated in Spring 2016 after a blowout fight that resulted in police visiting their California home.

"It's all new territory," Christina recently said of working with Tarek on Flip or Flop.

"This would be awkward for any exes. Since we have to see each other every day, it's beyond awkward. I'm planning on staying friendly and keeping things light."
