The former American Idol sixth-season finalist was arrested on Monday night in her hometown of Savannah, GA after she allegedly got into a fight in the middle of a street with another woman, police spokeswoman Gena Moore told TVGuide.com on Tuesday.

Edwards told police that the woman, Laquilla White, had been harassing her all day with phone calls -- so she decided to travel to her home and confront her, which is when things got physical, Moore said.

Both women were arrested and charged with fighting in public, a misdemeanor, and booked at Chatham County Detention Center before being released after posting $1,300 bail each.

Edwards finished eleventh as an American Idol sixth-season finalist in 2007.
