Former "CHiPs" star and "Armed & Famous" participant Erik Estrada has become a real-life police officer.

Estrada confirmed the news on social media posting multiple photos of himself on Twitter in uniform.
"An honor for me and my partner daryl Williams, we now serve the saint Anthony police dept. Proudly," the 67-year-old wrote alongside a photo taken during his swearing in ceremony.
"OK fnf's I'm now a police officer," he captioned a second photo of himself next to a police motorcycle.
Estrada is known for starring as California Highway Patrol officer Frank "Ponch" Poncherello alongside Daryl Williams as officer Jon Baker on "CHiPs" which ran from 1977-1983 on NBC.In 2007, he also appeared on CBS' "Armed & Famous" reality series, which featured celebrities working their way through police training and find themselves on patrol in Muncie, Indiana.
