"She hasn't officially signed on yet, but it looks like a done deal," a source told Us Weekly in the magazine's new issue.
According to the source, the former fifteenth-seasonThe Bachelor bachelorette -- whom Brad Womack had selected and proposed to over fellow bachelorette Chantal O'Brien during ABC's March broadcast of the show's season finale -- hopes to use the reality series to launch a career in broadcasting, Us Weekly reported Wednesday.
"She wants to be famous," the source said of the 25-year-old Charlotte, NC single mother.
However, the Us report contradicts the comments Maynard -- who confirmed she and Womack had officially split last week -- made to People in a recent interview.
"Right now my main focus is being a mom. The last thing on my mind is to do this all over again," Maynard told People about the possibility of starring on The Bachelorette in a cover story published in the magazine's July 11 issue.
