Emily Maynard and Brad Womack are reportedly not over after all as long as mother knows best.

"They have not officially broken up. It's still kind of on and off," Maynard's mom Susan Maynard told People Friday.

While recent reports have claimed Maynard -- whom Womack proposed to and selected over Chantal O'Brien in the finale broadcast of The Bachelor's fifteenth season -- ended her relationship with her fiance over the phone during the weekend of April 9, Susan believes they are still fighting to save their relationship.

"I hear nothing but good things about Brad. They are still just trying to get to know each other," Susan said, adding that her "ex-husband has met [Brad] and thinks he's a very, very nice guy, and [Emily's daughter] Ricki seems to like him."

According to a recent Life & Style report, Emily, a 25-year-old children's hospital event planner from Charlotte, NC, was getting ready to move to Austin, TX, to live with Womack but the plans fell through. While she cited Ricki's schooling as the reason, Susan confirmed Emily won't be moving to Texas with her daughter anytime in the near future.

"I don't think there is any rush to move," Susan explained. "There are no plans to take Ricki out of school."

Emily and Ricki were scheduled to spend the Easter weekend with Susan in West Virginia, while 38-year-old Womack reportedly spent the holiday with his family in Texas.

As to whether The Bachelor couple spending so much time apart indicates their relationship is definitely on the rocks, Susan admits she isn't so sure.

"I can't say one way or the other," Susan said. "I think they both have good intentions."
