E! announced it has ordered Pamela, the working title for a new reality series starring Pamela Anderson that is currently scheduled to debut this summer.

"Pamela Anderson is one of the most captivating personalities in pop culture today," said E! executive Lisa Berger. "E!'s cameras capture Pam's fabulous adventures, emotional journey and all the surprises that come along the way.  It's going to be a wild ride."

Each half-hour episode of the series will follow the former Baywatch bombshell and Playboy covergirl as she juggles her career and personal life.

However unlike the new E! reality series starring actress Denise Richards that is also scheduled to premiere this summer, Anderson's new reality project "will not feature her kids," according to the network.  The 40-year-old has two sons -- 11-year-old Brandon and 9-year-old Dylan -- with her ex-husband, former Rock Star: Supernova and Tommy Lee Goes to College star Tommy Lee.

In addition to Anderson and Richards' new reality series, E! also plans to air Living Lohan -- which will follow Lohan family matriarch Dina as she manages her children's hectic schedules -- this summer.

Pamela is produced by World of Wonder Productions, with Anderson, Jeff Pollack, Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato and Tom Campbell serving as executive producers.

"Pamela will be an artistically rich and visually stunning series," said World of Wonder managing director Randy Barbato.  "The series will offer an unprecedented look inside the life of one of today's most iconic superstars in the style of a uniquely shot documentary film."

Rumors surfaced in December that Anderson and her then husband Rick Salomon were developing a Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica-like reality series for E!.

However Anderson -- who had recently completed a gig in magician Hans Klok's Las Vegas stage production -- subsequently shot down the rumors in a posting on her personal website, saying she would do a reality series "only to promote, and have people see what it's like to create a show and be on stage starring in a big Vegas production."

In addition, she also stated at the time that any reality project would not include her children.

"The choices I have to make now are about quality of life," she wrote. "And meaning: Not about money or fame for no good reason."

Anderson -- who wed Salomon last October in Las Vegas after dating for just over a month -- had the marriage annulled in March.
