E! has formally announced it has ordered Living Lohan, a new reality series that will follow Dina -- the Lohan family matriarch -- as she manages her children's hectic schedules.

E! began production on the tentatively-titled series last October and is expecting to premiere the show this summer.

Living Lohan will take viewers inside Dina's Long Island home as the single mom manages Lindsay's chaotic life and career; attempts to start 14-year-old daughter Ali's burgeoning singing and acting career; tries to keep track of her 11-year-old son Cody's school and sports schedule; and makes sure her 20-year-old son Michael stays on track in college.

"The Lohans are one of the most intriguing families in the entertainment industry today," said E! executive Lisa Berger.  "This is a family that knows how to roll with the punches and come out on top. Dina is an incredibly hard-working, passionate mom that I think our viewers will find both relatable and highly entertaining."

While the entire Lohan clan will be involved in the series, it's Ali's career and Dina's handling of it that will receive much of the focus.

Living Lohan will chronicle the family's upcoming trip to Las Vegas' Palms Casino, where Ali is scheduled to record tracks for her debut solo album for Interscope Records -- a follow-up to her Christmas compilation.  In addition, Ali is determined to establish herself as a successful entertainer separate from her big sister as Dina tries to help her steer clear of the pitfalls of Hollywood, which Lindsay knows all too well.

Living Lohan is a co-production of The Real World producers Bunim-Murray Productions and Maloof Television (a production company owned by George and Phil Maloof, the Maloof family siblings who own both the Palms Casino and Maloof Music, a joint-venture record label they started with Interscope).

"We've been given unprecedented access to Dina Lohan and her kids lives; as a result, our series will deliver a powerful story that will both surprise and delight E!'s viewers," said Bunim-Murray president Jonathan Murray.
