Derek Hough and his sister Julianne Hough are reportedly returning to Dancing with the Stars.

According to multiple sources, Derek will be gracing the Dancing with the Stars stage once again as a professional partner while Julianne will reprise her role on the judging panel for Season 23, Us Weekly reported.

Derek, 31, chose not to participate in the 22nd edition of Dancing with the Stars after taking only one other season off since joining the show back in 2007. He previously told People he wanted to grow as a performer and take some time off to work on himself after 16 DWTS seasons.

Derek pursued a starring role in Broadway's revival of Singin' in the Rain, but the delayed premiere date reportedly frees up some time for him.

Derek first appeared on Dancing with the Stars in Season 5, and since then, he's become a fan-favorite pro and managed to win six mirrorball trophies. His latest victory was with Bindi Irwin in Season 21.

Julianne, 28, also bowed out of Season 22 after serving as a regular judge from Seasons 19 to 21. She clearly left to focus on other projects, as her departure was announced in February, one month after she starred as Sandra Dee in Fox's Grease: Live!.

Before judging the reality competition series, Julianne danced in the ballroom as a pro partner for many years.

"Julianne will always be a part of the Dancing With the Stars family, and we hope to see her back in the ballroom in the future," series producer Rob Wade told Us in a statement earlier this year.

The upcoming edition of Dancing with the Stars promises to be a big one, as Maksim Chmerkovskiy recently announced he will also be returning to the mix as a pro partner.

Chmerkovskiy said he wanted to retire from the the show in Spring 2014 after winning Season 18 with Meryl Davis, although he occasionally served as a guest judge afterward. He is currently expecting his first child with DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd, who will obviously be sitting out next season due to the pregnancy.

Before Maksim confirmed his official Dancing with the Stars comeback, eight of next season's 13 professional partners were revealed. The pros include Witney Carson and Gleb Savchenko.

The 13 celebrity contestants and remaining four pros will officially be announced August 30 on Good Morning America. Names of some of the celebrity contestants have already begun leaking out, such as The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, reportedly.

Dancing with the Stars is set to premiere Monday, September 12 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
