"We couldn't wait...so we scheduled another ultra sound this afternoon......and we saw a........GIRL!!!! #BabyStag," the former fourth-season The Bachelorette star tweeted Saturday alongside a photo of Stagliano placing his hands on her baby bump.

"Me & my baby daddy are staying in tonight. Getting used to these early nights. #itsSaturday #parentstobe #BabyStag #itsagirl."

Pappas apparently couldn't be more thrilled they have a daughter on the way.

"Stephen and I are so crazy with excitement about having a baby girl!" Pappas, 31, told Us Weekly.

"With my mother passing away [from cancer] when I was [12], I think I have very much been craving that 'mother, daughter' relationship. I have such a wonderful 'mother, daughter' relationship with my mother-in-law that I am so excited to share this with my very own baby girl! I can't wait to hold her in my arms because I already love her so much!"

The couple announced Pappas is pregnant with their first child late last month. She told People at the time she didn't want to find out the baby's gender until the birth but Stagliano wished otherwise.

"I kind of wanted it to be a surprise, but Stephen wants to be prepared," Pappas explained. "Stephen's birthday is February 4. I told him all he's getting for his birthday this year is a baby!"

Stagliano is the twin brother of Michael Stagliano, who was one of the bachelors on Jillian Harris' fifth season of The Bachelorette in 2009 and won the second season of Bachelor Pad with former fiancee Holly Durst in Summer 2011. Michael returned to compete on Bachelor Pad's third edition the following year.

Michael introduced Pappas and Stephen, who got engaged in August 2010 and wed in October 2011 in a ceremony that took place in Palmetto, GA.

Pappas had previously been engaged to Jesse Csincsak, who popped the question at the conclusion of her The Bachelorette edition in 2008. They split, however, later that year.

Prior to her appearance on The Bachelorette, Pappas was rejected by The Bachelor's eleventh-season star Brad Womack in 2007.
