DeAnna had repeatedly denied In Touch's engagement report on Tuesday.
"No, I'm not engaged," she wrote in a Tuesday afternoon Twitter posting.
"I already denied that story today," she replied to a congratulatory tweet later.
DeAnna's false denials were apparently due to the fact that she and Stephen -- the twin brother of Michael Stagliano, who was one of the bachelors on Jillian Harris' fifth season of The Bachelorette in 2009 -- struck a deal to give Us Weekly the exclusive rights to their engagement news.
"Grab this week's Us Weekly. We gave them the exclusive story!!!" she wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
According to DeAnna, she and Stephen have actually been engaged for more than two months.
"Stephen proposed to me on Memorial Day weekend," she wrote.
DeAnna and Stephen were introduced by Michael and his girlfriend Holly Durst, who was a bachelorette on The Bachelor: London Calling, Matt Grant's The Bachelor edition which aired in early 2008.
According to the In Touch report, Michael and Holly also recently got engaged and the two couples are hoping to get married in a double wedding that would serve as the basis of a reality show they are shopping to networks.
Holly and Michael also confirmed their engagement on Wednesday.
"Yes!!!! We engaged!!!!!!!" Holly wrote on Twitter.
"Its official," she added as she posted a photo (see right) of the two engaged couples.
While she made no mention of the reported reality show, DeAnna confirmed the couples' double wedding plans in her Wednesday Twitter postings.
"Yes, we are planning a double wedding. You can get all the details in the Us Weekly mag that hit stands today," she wrote. "[We got engaged on] different day from Michael & Holly. We each had our own wonderful engagement day."
DeAnna's admission that the couple has already been engaged more than two months would suggest the public also can't trust the comments of her new fiance.
Last month, Stephen also denied he and DeAnna had gotten engaged -- or that he had even purchased an engagement ring yet.
"We are not engaged. Don't have a ring yet, so it's hard to propose," he told People at the July 17 wrap party for Bachelor Pad, the new The Bachelor franchise spinoff which premiered on ABC on Monday night.
