Injured Mark Ballas apparently isn't injured enough to not keep a watchful eye over girlfriend Sabrina Bryan as she rehearses for the upcoming Dancing with the Stars - The Tour, which is scheduled to kick-off December 18 in Seattle.

"I had the surgery yesterday, so I am feeling pretty okay to watch and be around and keep my eyes on things," Mark told Entertainment Tonight in Thursday interview. "I have to go to the doctor's next Tuesday, so I am just going to watch for the next couple of days.  But every four hours I have to take it out of the sling [and exercise it]."

Following their surprise elimination during the sixth week of the competition, Ballas and Bryan returned to the ballroom for Dancing with the Stars live fifth-season finale broadcast last Tuesday night to perform a routine.

However Ballas was in visible pain during parts of the routine, grabbing at his shoulder, and was subsequently taken to the hospital for what was reportedly a dislocated shoulder.

"When it happened on the show, it happened halfway through the routine," Ballas told Entertainment Tonight.  "I looked at [Bryan], and said, 'This is not good.' She knew."

Ballas added that Bryan has helped ease the pain from his injury.

"She has been there every step of the way," he told Entertainment Tonight. "She has come to all my appointments, and she dropped me at the hospital for my surgery."

If Ballas is unable to participate in the 37-city tour, fellow first-time Dancing professional Derek Hough is also learning the routines so he can serve as Bryan's partner.

"He just needs to take care of her and not be too rough with her," Mark advised Derek, according to Entertainment Tonight.
