Chad Johnson is standing up for himself as his alpha-male behavior has been a hot topic of discussion since The Bachelorette starring JoJo Fletcher premiered.

Before Johnson was shown threatening to knock Alex Woytkiw's teeth out on Monday night's episode, the 28-year-old luxury real estate agent from Tulsa, OK, took to Instagram to defend himself against accusations he's a violent person.

"Finally I'll get some alone time with @joelle_fletcher and be able to be myself. You will see the amazing connection we have and hopefully, after this #bachelormonday y'all will understand that I'm not violent, but I will stand up for myself, being as I, like everyone else, do not like being harassed and bullied," Johnson captioned a photo of himself.

Fletcher, however, saw a softer side of Johnson when he told her that he has a little puppy back home and his mother was his best friend who had passed away six months prior. On Tuesday, the insanely buff bachelor elaborated on the situation on Instagram, attempting to give fans more insight into his character.

"For 7 years I watched my mother slowly die from cancer. Over the last 3 she got much worse and I decided to spend all of my time that I wasn't working, at her house taking care of her and generally spending time with her. She was all alone since her divorce from my father," Johnson wrote on Instagram Tuesday.

"My sister and I were all that she had. So I have not had a relationship in a very long time because I was busy trying to make sure my mother lived out her final years in comfort and surrounded by family. I still miss her everyday... She was my best friend and the person I told everything to."

So far on The Bachelorette, Johnson has made huge waves in the house by monopolizing Fletcher's time, making it known he's not on the show to make friends, calling Fletcher "naggy" on a Group Date, and making fun of his fellow suitors for being childish, sensitive boys instead of men. The guys in turn view Johnson as a narcissistic "meathead" completely unworthy of Fletcher's attention and affection.

Fletcher teased the next several episodes of The Bachelorette will be "crazy," especially when it comes to Johnson's antics.
