Despite the fact that the cat had already been let out of the bag when CBS's last-minute decision to delay The Amazing Race 6's September debut until November came too late to prevent the publication of a TV Guide article spotlighting the show's cast, the network officially announced the identities of the eleven couples racing around the world yesterday.
In addition to the six pack of models, The Amazing Race's ever-increasing eye candy quotient will include two professional wrestlers (one male, one female), two personal trainers (one male, one female), an ex-Playboy Playmate, and a former striptease aerobics instructor. The eleven teams competing in The Amazing Race 6 are: • Engaged models Freddy Holliday, a 34-year-old pilot/model from Miami, FL, and Kendra Bentley, a 25-year-old model from Miami, FL • Best friends Meredith Tufaro, a 26-year-old licensing manager from Queens, NY, and Maria Sampogna, a 26-year-old registered sales assistant from Queens, NY • Long distance dating couple Kris Perkins, a 30-year-old student/cocktail waitress from Long Beach, CA, and Jon Buehler, a 29-year-old restaurant partner from Scottsdale, AZ • Father Gus McLeod, a 50-year-old adventure pilot/motivational speaker from Gaithersburg, MD, and his daughter Hera McLeod, a 24-year-old special education teacher from Los Angeles, CA • Former dating couple Adam Malis, a 27-year-old personal trainer/spinning instructor from Los Angeles, CA, and Rebecca Cardon, a 27-year-old personal trainer/spinning instructor from Los Angeles, CA • High school buddies Avi Schneier, a 32-year-old high school science teacher from Brooklyn, NY, and Joe Rashbaum, a 32-year-old advertising agency owner/entrepreneur from Ventura, CA • Married couple Lori Harvey, a 33-year-old professional wrestler from Molino, FL, and her husband Bolo Dar'tainian, a 38-year-old professional wrestler • Married grandparents Don St. Claire, a 69-year-old physician from Portola Valley, CA, and his wife, Mary Jean St. Claire, a 66-year-old interior designer and food supplement salesperson. • Dating couple Hayden Kristianson, a 25-year-old model/actor from Los Angeles, CA, and Aaron Crumbaugh, a 25-year-old model/actor from Los Angeles, CA • Sisters Lena Jensen, a 23-year-old student from Pleasant Grove, UT, and Kristy Jensen, a 26-year-old model/student from Pleasant Grove, UT • Married couple Jonathan Baker, a 42-year-old Entrepreneur from Los Angeles, CA, and Victoria Fuller, a 32-year-old pop artist painter/model from Los Angeles, CA As reported last week, The Amazing Race 6 will premiere on Tuesday, November 16 at 9PM ET/PT with a special two-hour debut broadcast.
