Bravo reveals 'Step It Up & Dance' cast, new series to debut April 3

Bravo has revealed the identities of the 12 contestants competing on Step It Up & Dance, a new reality series that blends elements of So You Think You Can Dance and Project Runway, which will premiere Thursday, April 3 at 10PM ET/PT.

The dancers competing against one another on Step It Up & Dance will be put through a series of challenges that will have them auditioning for various roles, such as a music video or Las Vegas stage show. After the end of the competition, one contestant will the $100,000 grand prize.

Step It Up & Dance's 12 participants will be mentored by director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, who received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics' Circle Awards for his choreography in the 2005 Tony Award-winning Best Revival of La Cage Aux Folles. Mitchell also received an Emmy-nomination for choreographing The Drew Carey Show.

The performances of Step It Up & Dance's participants will be judged by director and choreographer Vincent Paterson and choreographer Nancy O'Meara.

Former Saved by the Bell and Showgirls actress Elizabeth Berkley will serve as the host for Step It Up & Dance, which Bravo ordered last September under the title Step It Up.

Step It Up & Dance is being produced by Magical Elves' producers Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth -- the same duo behind Bravo's Project Runway and Top Chef reality series.  It will follow a similar format to the aforementioned shows, combining elimination competitions with behind-the-scenes footage of what it takes to make it in the professional dance industry.

Step It Up & Dance's 12 contestants are:

- Adriana, a 25-year-old from Shrewsbury, MA who currently resides in Queens, NY

- Cody, a 27-year-old from Surrey, Canada who currently resides in New York, NY

- James, a 23-year-old from Charlotte, NC who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA

- Janelle, an 18-year-old from Modesto, CA who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA

- Jessica, a 22-year-old fromSan Luis Obispo, CA

- Nick, a 26-year-old from Houston, TX who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA

- Nicole, a 29-year-old from Farmington Hills, MI who currently resides in Chicago, IL

- Michael, a 25-year-old fromHouston, TX who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA

- Michelle, a 30-year-old from San Diego, CA who currently resides in New York, NY

- Miguel, a 24-year-old from Delano, CA who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA

- Oscar, a 31-year-old from Bologna, Italy who currently resides in New York, NY

- Tovah, a 21-year-old from Chicago, IL
