The network renewed Top Chef for a fifth season in April, and it represents the fifth different location for the culinary competition series.

Bravo's confirmation comes weeks after rumors that the reality competition series' fifth season would shoot in Williamsburg, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, first began surfacing.

Top Chef's first season filmed in San Francisco while its second installment moved slightly south and shot in Los Angeles.  However the show's third season last summer filmed in Miami and its recently concluded fourth installment was set in Chicago.

Top Chef: Chicago -- which was won by Stephanie Izard -- was the highest-rated season ever for the culinary competition, averaging 2.539 million total viewers and 1.81 million viewers in the Adults 18-49 demographic.

Top Chef: New York is currently slated to premiere later this year.
