CBS has announced Big Brother's two-night premiere event -- Wednesday, June 25 at 8PM ET/PT and Thursday, June 26 9PM ET/PT -- will reveal further details of the following three twists: Two houseguests winning the coveted role of Head of Household each week, a new "Battle of the Block" competition and a new interactive element called "Team America."

In the season's first new twist, two HoH's each week will have special privileges and a separate suite inside the Big Brother house. Each HoH will nominate two houseguests for eviction every week, but for the first time ever on the show, earning HoH will not necessarily guarantee the titleholder his or her safety in the game.

Every Big Brother season beforehand, there was only one HoH per week and that person would automatically be safe from eviction.

Big Brother's sixteenth season will also feature a new "Battle of the Block" competition, which will drastically shift the power in the house each week.

In previous seasons of the series, a "Power of Veto" competition would allow for its winner to take someone off the chopping block and replace the houseguest with another person of his or her choice.

In addition, the upcoming "Team America" twist will give fans the opportunity to influence the game via a brand new interactive element.

"When the Houseguests learn about the new twists, they will need to throw out any pre-existing strategy if they want to survive in the game," Big Brother executive producer Allison Grodner said in a statement. "The new 'Battle of the Block' competition will shake up the power in the house like never before. A Houseguest can go from zero to hero, or vice versa, every week!"

Big Brother's sixteenth season will air in HD and be filmed in an urban tree house-type of atmosphere.

"The living room features a 20-foot-high wood tree sculpture, and wood panels that give the illusion of peering out into the world from inside the tree. The theme continues with the dining room's branch-bound chairs and the kitchen's butcher block island made from thick slabs of eucalyptus trees," according to the network.

"Nestled above the living room is an actual tree house shack where the Houseguests can play chess. The Head of Household suite includes a giant bird's nest for the bed and a wall lined with nearly 1,000 bird houses. Also, the bedrooms' decor is based on the classical elements earth, wind and fire with the bathroom's theme being water."

Big Brother will follow a group of strangers living in a house with 76 HD cameras and more than 100 microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. Viewers can subscribe to the 24/7 live feed. At the end of the season, one houseguest will be crowned winner and receive the $500,000 grand prize.
