Big Brother featured Morgan Pope winning the Power of Veto and an explosive Veto Meeting in which Ashley Hollis was nominated for eviction during the Season 27 episode that aired Wednesday night on CBS.

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 53 of the game with Morgan, Vince Panaro and Mickey Lee on the chopping block.

Keanu Soto said he wanted Morgan to go home in order to break up her bond with Vince. Keanu said he needed Vince "to grow a backbone" so they could start working together more closely in the game.

Vince admitted he was playing a very "selfish" game and he should've trusted his own instincts.

"If I had put [Rachel Reilly] up last week... I would not be on the block right now. I have two chances to save myself in this game. I've got to win the Veto or the BB Blockbuster, or else I'm going home," Vince explained.

It wasn't a total disaster for Vince, however, because Rachel said his decision to keep her off the block was a baby step toward them becoming allies.

While Morgan was comforting Vince, Mickey said she was fostering relationships with Rachel, Ashley and Cliffton "Will" Williams. Mickey hoped one of those three houseguests would save her from the chopping block if they won the Veto.

Ashley said she was, in fact, feeling better about Mickey. The women were close on a personal level, and Ashley realized that Mickey could be a shield for her going forward.

Keanu asked Kelley Jorgensen to use the Veto on Vince if she won it, but Kelley admitted there was no way that was going to happen because Vince had "burned" her too many times.

Keanu also asked Lauren Domingue to save Vinny if given the opportunity, and Lauren told the cameras that she would like to keep Vinny in the game.

Keanu subsequently told Vince that he wanted him to stay in the house and "four of the six people" in the house were ready and willing to use the Veto on him.

"Why not just not nominate me to begin with?!" Vince quipped in the Big Brother Diary Room.

Rachel, meanwhile, was worried that she or Ashley could be a potential replacement nominee this week.

After houseguests were shown gossiping about Vince and Morgan's flirty vibes, it was time to pick players for the Power of Veto competition.

In addition to the Head of Household, Keanu, and the three nominees -- Vince, Morgan and Mickey -- Lauren was selected by random draw to compete.

When Keanu drew his own name, he picked Kelley to play, which caught Rachel off-guard and concerned her.

Mickey then revealed in the Big Brother Diary Room that if she won the Veto, she may keep nominations the same because she'd have the votes to stay. Mickey was that desperate to keep Rachel, her shield, in the game.

"Who would be next? Probably me. So maybe not using the Veto would be in my best interest," Mickey explained in a confessional.

Rachel then spoke to Keanu, and he let her know that he was considering naming Ashley the replacement nominee, which Rachel didn't like hearing at all.

For the Power of Veto competition, which was hosted by Angela Murray, each participating player had to stack a charcuterie board in order to save Angela's savory snacks.

The players were required to stack 35 pieces onto their board, but it was easier said than done, because "enemy attackers" would be brought in to destroy the boards at different times.

The first person to fully stack his or her board and hit a button would win the Power of Veto.

In the end, Morgan won the golden Power of Veto, and she was ecstatic to secure her safety and also be a vote for Vince to stay.

Keanu was disappointed in the results, but he said it wasn't "the worst case scenario" because Mickey was still on the chopping block.

Rachel hoped Keanu would name Lauren the replacement nominee instead of Ashley, but Keanu was afraid one of his allies would end up going home in that case.

Ashley, knowing she was up for discussion, told the Big Brother cameras that she would gun for Keanu hard if he targeted her.

Keanu proceeded to tell the cameras, "I know Morgan would do anything to save Vince, and I think she'd feel safer sitting next to Lauren than Ashley. So I'm hoping she'll use the Veto on Vince if I promise to put up Lauren -- but then, I'm going to put up Ashley. That might be the move."

Vince didn't think Keanu's plan was going to work, but he was happy about the idea of being saved.

Keanu put his plan into action, and Morgan didn't seem to think it was crazy because she thought she had members of "The Judges" alliance who would have her back.

"Do I risk it for a huge biscuit? I don't know. This could end up changing the trajectory of my game in the best way or the worst," Morgan lamented to the Big Brother cameras.

When Morgan told Rachel about what Keanu had pitched to her, both of the women became increasingly more skeptical of how Keanu would respond to Morgan saving Vince instead of herself.

Morgan ultimately decided that she was going to play it safe and use the Veto on herself, and so Rachel advised Keanu to name Ava Pearl the replacement nominee. Rachel made it clear that she didn't want Ashley to go on the block.

At the Veto Meeting, Morgan officially announced she had decided to use the Power of Veto on herself.

Keanu, as the HoH, therefore had to name a new houseguest as the replacement nominee.

"I have every indication that this person is going to stay. Ashley, please take a seat," Keanu announced.

Ashley clapped her hands and told Keanu, "Congratulations! I know for the past seven weeks you've been trying to get me to go on the block! I'm glad you finally succeeded and also congrats on giving up the Tarzan act and putting a pair of shoes on your feet."

Ashley continued, "But somehow, your foot is still in your mouth because on Thursday, you said that I was safe for the week. So congratulations!... And it's no surprise because you're the biggest liar in this house and everybody knows it!"

Ashley also mocked Keanu for viewing himself as "a mastermind" when he had put his own ally on the block.

"[Vince] may potentially go home on your own HoH. What a failure there. And you know what? You'll be seeing your face on the wall on Friday. I'm pretty sure of it. Kisses!" Ashley concluded.

"Are you done?" Keanu asked.

"I'll be done when I say I'm done. Don't talk to me like that. You are the biggest narcissist in the house and go off talking to women like they're crazy," Ashley vented.

She added, "It's not going to happen here, and now I'm done!"

Keanu argued that he had never told Ashley that she was going to be safe for the week, but Rachel stood up for Ashley.

"You forget this is a social game, Keanu. You can't win your way to the end," Ashley said.

Keanu said he wasn't worried about Ashley because she never won anything. He was also convinced Rachel would come back to him so that they could protect each other.

Vince called Keanu's decision to put him on the block to teach him a lesson the "dumbest game move you could possibly ever imagine."

And Rachel told the cameras that she was done playing with Keanu because he was risking her best friend in the house.

"Maybe he should've put me up, because guess what, Keanu?! I'm going to come for you!" Rachel concluded.
