Rachel was eliminated after losing the challenge, but she was not voted out of the house.
The remaining houseguests couldn't believe Rachel was gone after an unprecedented turn of events, and Vince Panaro admitted he was "terrified" about what was to come in the "month of mayhem."
Former Big Brother houseguest Tyler Crispen then revealed that Lauren had the fastest time in the challenge and was therefore the new Head of Household.
Keanu said he was relieved that he didn't even consider Lauren to be a nominee last week.
Vince then asked Morgan, his No. 1 in the game, not to be mad at him about his decision in the "Maniacal Maze."
Morgan explained to Vince how his choice to have Lauren compete in the maze first broke their alliance because had she gone before Lauren, Rachel would've competed next and they probably all would've survived.
Rachel only had 3.5 minutes to complete the maze, and she failed to get the job done in time.
Vince said he felt bad that Morgan was upset, but he stood by his decision because now that Lauren was HoH, he thought he'd be safe and could keep Morgan off the chopping block as well.
Lauren told Vince that she didn't think she could trust Morgan.
But Vince tried to convince Lauren to work with Morgan by insisting he'd choose her for a Final 2 seat over Morgan in the end. Vince clearly didn't want Lauren to think Morgan would be a threat to her game.

Now that Rachel was gone, Ava said she planned to work closely with Cliffton "Will" Williams and Ashley Hollis, with whom she had been tight since the start of the game, as well as her newer connections Lauren and Kelley Jorgensen.

Lauren then told the cameras in the Big Brother Diary Room that Morgan and Keanu were the biggest threats left in the house whom she wasn't closely aligned with.
"I just need to figure out the best nominations to make sure one of them goes home this week," Lauren explained in a confessional.
After Ashley was shown playing mind games in the house, it became time for the Nomination Ceremony.
Lauren announced she had decided to nominate Morgan, Will and Ashley for eviction.
"This was an incredibly hard decision not only because I'm nominating almost half the house but because I know you all really want to be here. I just kind of thought this was the best decision for now, and I wish you all the best of luck in the Veto competition," Lauren explained.

Ashley and Morgan both said they were hurt and upset by their nominations, and Ashley said she was going to gun for Lauren next week, especially if she becomes the next Head of Household.
Morgan cried to Vince thinking she was Lauren's target, but Vince pointed out how Lauren was probably looking to backdoor Keanu.
Vince assured Morgan that if he won the Veto, he'd use it on her. But that didn't seem to calm or relax Morgan's fears.
Lauren proceeded to tell Ashley that she wanted to save her and if she ended up having to name a replacement nominee, it would be Keanu, who thought he had "a great relationship" with Lauren.
But a part of Lauren was thinking her best move would be to not use the Veto and then send Morgan packing.

It then became time to pick players for the Power of Veto competition. In addition to the HoH, Lauren, and the three nominees -- Morgan, Ashley and Will -- Vince and Ava were selected to play.
Morgan drew her own name and so she picked Vince to play, but Ava was selected by random draw. Ava said she'd probably use the Veto on Will or Ashley if she won.
Before the Veto competition commenced, Lauren seemed noncommittal when speaking to Morgan about her plans, which definitely raised a red flag for Morgan.
Morgan just hoped Vince would actually have her back, and she noted how the Veto would be a chance for him to prove himself to her.
The Power of Veto competition ended up being the fan-favorite "BB Comics" competition.
Each of the participating houseguests was required to hit a button to start a clock and then fly down a zipline to peek inside the BB Comics' factory. Their goal was to pick out comics that matched the covers displayed inside the factory.

The player to find all the real BB Comics and match the BB Comics factory wall would win the golden Power of Veto.
Ashley finished in third place with a time of 20 minutes and 32 seconds.
Lauren completed the challenge in second place with a time of 13 minutes and three seconds. She explained in a confessional how she actually wanted someone else to win the Veto and take someone off the block so she could put up Keanu and make it seem like her hands were tied.
With a time of 12 minutes and 34 seconds, Morgan won the Power of Veto.
Keanu then set out to make sure Vince was going to be the replacement nominee instead of him. Keanu reminded Lauren that he had protected her down his own HoH reign and if Vince went up on the block, no one would vote to send him home.
At the Veto Meeting, Morgan used the Power of Veto to take herself off the chopping block.
Lauren then named Keanu the replacement nominee, claiming it was a decision that she did not take lightly.

Lauren said she didn't want the house to continue viewing her as a quiet player who was afraid to make big moves. She was trying to level up her resume.
Will said he felt good sitting on the block next to Keanu, who apparently wasn't well liked in the house. And Keanu was furious, saying he'd definitely go after Lauren if he survives the week.
