"I can officially confirm that Audrina Patridge will appear in the 6th season of The Hills," her representative toldUs Weekly in a Monday report. "Production will resume shortly after the new year."
An MTV spokesperson subsequently confirmed Patridge's return to People.
Late last week, Patridge's representative stated she was "still in discussions with MTV about Season 6 of The Hills" but did not have a "firm deal in place."
While Patridge has been a The Hills regular since it premiered in 2006, she will be starring is her own new Mark Burnett-produced reality series, which was originally announced in March and is currently in development at MTV.
"Next week, Patridge begins filming the pilot episode of her currently unnamed spinoff show, also for MTV," her representative told Us.
In September, Patridge stated that she was "almost done" filmingThe Hills' final fifth-season episodes -- which she intended to be her swan song on the show.
"We're in the middle of finishing these episodes, and I'll be leaving then," she said at the time.
