While the disposition of Anna Nicole Smith's remains was decided, attorneys in the case still had DNA testing and paternity of Smith's baby girl to determine.

Broward County Judge Lawrence Korda was scheduled to hear requests Friday to order that a DNA sample be taken from Smith's infant daughter, Dannielynn.

Several men claim to have fathered the child, including Larry Birkhead, Smith's ex-lover, and Howard K. Stern, her longtime companion and attorney.

Meanwhile, attorneys for Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, said they would appeal the decision to bury Smith in the Bahamas, which was jointly announced by Arthur, Stern and Birkhead, the Miami Herald said Friday.

Smith's body must remain under 24-hour security at the Broward County, Fla., Medical Examiner's Office until the Fourth District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach, Fla., issues a ruling.

Broward County Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin ruled Thursday that the body would go to Smith's 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn.

Richard Milstein, the child's court-appointed guardian, said he has chosen to bury Smith in the Bahamas next to her son Daniel, who died in September, whom Milstein called the "most important possession in her life."
