'American Idol' runner-up David Archuleta announces U.S. tour

David Archuleta will be hitting the road this spring, as the American Idol seventh-season runner-up has announced he will embark on a 20-date concert tour.

The 18-year-old's tour will commence February 24 in Virginia Beach, VA and conclude March 21 in Boise, ID.
Archuleta's tour announcement comes less than a week after Idol seventh-season champ David Cookannounced he will also be hitting the road with a 37-date spring concert tour that will mostly visit college campuses.
Archuleta's self-titled debut album dropped at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album sales chart after selling 183,000 copies during its initial week of release last November.
The album has since sold a total of 597,000 copies and currently sits at No. 53 on The Billboard 200.
