After four weeks of open audition broadcasts and four more episodes that gave viewers a look at the competition's Hollywood and Vegas rounds, American Idol has formally announced its Top 24 tenth-season semifinalists.

One night after it unveiled the first five, American Idol revealed the identities of its 19 remaining semifinalists during Thursday night's broadcast on Fox.

The additional semifinalists are Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, Jovany Barreto, Kendra Chantelle, Jordan Dorsey, Thia Megia, James Durbin, Karen Rodriguez, Tim Halperin, Pia Toscano, Stefano Langone, Lauren Turner, Brett Loewenstern, Tatynisa Wilson, Jacob Lusk, Julie Zorrilla, Scotty McCreery, Rachel Zevita, and Robbie Rosen.

They join Naima Adedapo, Clint Jun Gamboa, Ashthon Jones, Paul McDonald, and Haley Reinhart -- who had already been revealed during American Idol's Wednesday night broadcast.

With the selection of the Top 24 now over, American Idol's tenth season will feature a new single semifinals round in which the show will air a pair of Tuesday and Wednesday performance shows on March 1 and 2 and a live results show that will reveal the season's finalists on Thursday, March 3.

The 12 male semifinalists will perform during Tuesday's broadcast, which will air from 8-9:30PM ET/PT, while the 12 female semifinalists will perform during Wednesday's episode, which will air from 8-9:30PM ET/PT. The results show -- which will be a special live, two-hour broadcast -- will then follow on Thursday, March 3 from 8-10PM ET/PT.

Last month, Fox had announced the new single semifinals round format will feature the five male and five female semifinalists who receive the most home viewer votes automatically advancing to Idol's tenth-season finals and being joined by an unspecified number of additional "Wild Card" picks selected by new judging panel members Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler

However whether that is still the plan -- the same announcement had also stated that there would only be 20 semifinalists, not 24 -- is unclear.
