American Idol's first winner Kelly Clarkson has an exciting new project under her belt inspired by her daughter River Rose.

"I'm officially a children's book author," Clarkson first season tweeted on Tuesday. "River Rose and the Magical Lullaby comes out this October!"

Clarkson shared a video explaining how her interest in writing came about.

"It's kind of a cool thing to be on a plane with my daughter, we were going on trips to the U.K. and Asia and Australia, all these amazing places that she was too little to remember," Clarkson said in the clip with the 19-month-old girl on her lap.

"Basically I started writing down these little fun stories -- of like when we went to Australia and she got to hang out with some kangaroos."

Over time, Clarkson's little tidbits and adventures with her child developed into "little stories."

"I guess my hope is for little kids to read River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and be inspired by it, and know they can achieve anything," Clarkson said, "and still dream big and make big things happen."

The singer then joked about River Rose, "Ya'll, she is out of hand. I can't even get her to work, I'm pulling this train all by myself. She's like sleeping on the job, she's eating all the time -- she's always hungry."

The picture book, published by HarperCollins, will apparently include an original lullaby Clarkson wrote and performed.

The 33-year-old singer, who's currently expecting her second child with husband Brandon Blackstock, gave fans a series of three hints about her new collaboration with illustrator Laura Hughes on Twitter in the days leading up to her big news.

Clarkson teased images of balloons and the words "magical, fun, lullaby and escape." She also shared a picture of a director's chair with the phrase "River Rose Talent" on it as well as her very own Super Bowl commercial featuring the little "diva."

River Rose and the Magical Lullaby will be available on October 4, 2016 but can be pre-ordered online now.
