"I thought it was a stick. I wasn't sure what had happened," recalled Seacrest. "I saw it swim! He took a bite, and he left."
However the culprit apparently left Seacrest with a memento from their encounter -- one of its teeth.
"[It] wasn't a great thing to find," he said. "It was like finding a splinter."
While Seacrest added he was "in pain" after the run in, it apparently wasn't anything that an Advil couldn't take care of.
"There were like 1,000 people in the ocean, and I get bit by the shark," said Seacrest
