I Survived a Japanese Game Show will begin with the 10 Americans being whisked across the Pacific to Japan, where they'll be pitted against each other in a series of different challenges regularly seen in Japan.  In addition, the contestants will also live together while residing in Japan for the ABC show.

I Survived a Japanese Game Show's grand-prize winner will be based on "who best adapts to Japanese culture and the challenges in each episode," according to ABC.

I Survived a Japanese Game Show is executive produced by Arthur Smith and Kent Weed of A. Smith & Co.; and David Sidebotham, Karsten Bartholin and Tim Crescenti.

In addition to I Survived a Japanese Game Show's debut, ABC has also announced premiere dates for seven other reality shows the network will air this summer.
