Each half-hour The Exterminators episode will follow Vexcon, a pest removal company operated by Billy Bretherton, a former U.S. Air Force sergeant and 15-year pest management industry veteran who runs the business with his wife Mary, his brother Rick, and their parents Bill and Donnie.

Some of the pest removal projects Vexcon will tackle on the show will include capturing an 8-foot alligator walking down an affluent street; retrieving baby raccoons from inside the wall of an office; evicting 70,000 bats who call a stadium home; and relocating a wild pet-eating bobcat.

The Exterminators will also follow Bretherton and his kin as they balance their business with family life.

"Billy and his family offer the unique blend of drama and humor, which viewers have come to expect from our stable of real families in extraordinary situations," said A&E programming executive Robert Sharenow.

"The Exterminators fits perfectly with our brand of eye-opening Real-Life series such as Dog the Bounty Hunter and Gene Simmons Family Jewels, representing remarkable personal stories in an entertaining but raw and honest way."

The 13-episode series is being produced by September Films, with Jeff Collins and Sheldon Lazarus serving as the show's executive producers.
