Colt, who was previously married to his 90 Day Fiance Season 6 co-star Larissa Dos Santos Lima, proposed marriage to Vanessa after only a month of dating during the finale of 90 Day: The Single Life that streamed Sunday night on Discovery's new discovery+ service.

Colt was spotted filming his marriage proposal to Vanessa on November 26, 2020, just one day after her divorce from her ex-husband True Maudsley was finalized.

On 90 Day: The Single Life, Colt was shown talking to Vanessa on a dock at Big Bear Lake in Southern California after the pair had just enjoyed a romantic picnic.

Colt began his speech by saying he and Vanessa clearly had problems -- such as trust issues, on her part -- but he loved her a lot.

"And I can't imagine my life without you in it," Colt said, before getting down on one knee.

Vanessa giggled and questioned what Colt was doing before he casually asked, "Want to get married?"

Vanessa hesitated and didn't say anything, which prompted Colt to repeat, "Will you marry me, Vanessa?"

Colt placed the ring on Vanessa's finger. She said it was "a little tight" but then exclaimed, "Oh my God, seriously?!"

Vanessa pointed out she and Colt had so many problems, adding, "Is this the right time for you to ask?"

Colt explained to Vanessa they were going to have problems throughout their entire life but he promised they could work through them, communicate and overcome challenges together.

"I love you, darling," Colt said.

"It's beautiful! I wasn't expecting it! I don't know what to say!" Vanessa said.

"Say 'yes' that you'll be my wife and spend the rest of your life with me," Colt urged.

Colt insisted he was ready to be a husband again and felt closer to Vanessa than he ever felt to his ex-wife. Vanessa admitted the proposal came a little soon and she didn't quite feel ready to get married again.

"I refuse to go through a divorce again. I don't want to do it... I want to marry you someday, but that doesn't mean I'm going to," Vanessa explained.

"That's why there's an engagement," Colt pointed out.

Vanessa asked if Colt would be willing to wait a year or so to get married. She wanted to make sure he'd be consistent and not mess around with other women.

"You're worth it," Colt replied. "I love you. You're my fiancee now if you say 'yes.'"

"Yes! I'll be your fiancee," Vanessa finally responded before hugging and kissing Colt. "Holy f-ck! Seriously?! No f-cking way!"

Vanessa called her ring "beautiful" and noted it's prettier than what he had given to Larissa, but she told the cameras that she needed to see change in Colt in order for him to be her "Mr. Right" forever.

Colt, now engaged, said in a confessional he loved and respected Vanessa and would do his best to show her that every day.

Colt filed for divorce from his first wife, Larissa -- with whom he also starred on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? -- in January 2019 after an explosive fight in his Las Vegas home.

Colt and Larissa's divorce was finalized in April 2019. Larissa moved on with her rumored fiance Eric Nichols, and Colt, who said he was best friends with Vanessa at the time, struck up a romance with Jessica Caroline after his divorce.

Colt and Jess starred on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.

"After my divorce from Larissa, I wanted to date Vanessa immediately. I was like, 'Hey, want to try it?' And she wasn't interested," Colt explained on the Tell-All special of the TLC spinoff's fifth season.

Vanessa then shared, "He did ask me to be his girlfriend, and I said, 'No,' and then I kind of started dating somebody else and he got upset."

Vanessa reportedly said at the time Colt was not her type and she likes "bearded tattooed men." She supposedly couldn't see past Colt's looks, and so Colt decided to date Jess instead.

Colt admitted on the show he had sex with Vanessa one time but didn't tell Jess, who never trusted Vanessa during her short-lived romance with Colt. Jess believed Colt had been cheating on her before they split in October 2019.

"Okay, after I came back from Brazil, I cheated on Jess with Vanessa. I'm sorry, Jess," Colt confessed on the Happily Ever After? Tell-All, later adding, "And then after we broke up, [Jess], I slept with [Vanessa] some more."

Jess asked Colt why he started dating her when he clearly loved Vanessa all along, and Colt replied, "Because Vanessa said, 'No.' If she said, 'Yes,' I would've dated her in a second. I'm sorry that you were in a sh-tty relationship with me. It was a summer fling."

Vanessa said on the Tell-All she liked Colt only "as a best friend" because she "wouldn't trust him as a boyfriend." Colt, however, insisted he had never cheated on Larissa.

Although Colt and Vanessa insisted they were just friends for months, the pair were photographed walking hand-in-hand down a Las Vegas street in September 2020.

Jess went on to wed a man named Brian Hanvey, and Larissa and Eric engagement rumors sparked in late March.
