90 Day Fiance alum Vanessa Guerra has revealed what happened to Colt Johnson that left him hospitalized for two weeks, unable to walk, and in a wheelchair.

Vanessa conducted a Q&A session with fans on Monday, February 13 and revealed what actually happened to Colt in early December.

"We were filming a scene on a trampoline that went terribly wrong," Vanessa explained, according to In Touch Weekly.

Vanessa didn't explain what she and Colt were filming for, but the project obviously came to an abrupt end.

Colt had to have multiple surgeries on his leg, and so he thought he was going to have a long road to a full recovery.

"It was overwhelming at first, but I've never seen him so determined to do something for himself before this," Vanessa reportedly said in the Q&A.

"He's actually more independent now than before he broke his leg."

And earlier this month, Colt's mother Debbie Johnson reportedly revealed on Instagram her son was "doing well."

The trampoline accident took place on December 2 and left Colt with a dislocated and broken leg.

Vanessa uploaded photos of Colt in a hospital bed on January 7 with an update on his injury. A medical device was holding his right leg in place, and Colt had a large above-the-knee cast on the leg.

"He was hospitalized for 2 weeks. In those 2 weeks he had 2 surgeries," Vanessa wrote on Instagram at the time. "With all the pain meds/anesthesia he received, his bladder stopped working and has been on a catheter since."

Vanessa said her husband was "unable to put any weight on the leg," even though a month had already passed since the accident.

"[Colt] can't bend it and is wheelchair bound. His 3rd surgery was a couple of days ago to remove the hardware he had to keep his leg straight," Vanessa elaborated.

Vanessa noted it had been "a rough journey" for Colt and for herself, especially since she was his primary caretaker aside from the doctors and nurses in the hospital.

"I had to move us from our second story apartment within a few days due to him not being able to go up stairs," Vanessa wrote in her December post.

She also shared how Colt was expected to recover in six to eight months.

"Physical therapy will be added in the next month or 2 for him to be able to learn how to walk again," she noted.

She concluded, "Regardless of how you may feel about him, this has been extremely hard physically, mentally and emotionally. He could really use words of encouragement & all the support he can get. Thanks everyone."

A couple of weeks later, Vanessa confirmed that Colt had started physical therapy.

"He's up using a walker and doing the bile a few minutes a day now," Vanessa wrote via Instagram Stories, according to In Touch. "This was much quicker than what was expected. Thanks to each and every one of you for the prayers and positive thoughts."

Colt and Vanessa recently appeared on TLC during the Tell-All special for Season 3 of 90 Day: The Single Life in December 2022, which featured Colt and Debbie appearing to reconcile -- with a hug -- after some brutal arguments.

In early January, Debbie shared on Instagram how she left Las Vegas, NV, and was on a road trip with her Canadian boyfriend Tony, whom she was shown meeting during 90 Day: The Single Life's third season.

Colt and Vanessa co-starred on Season 1 of 90 Day: The Single Life in 2021. Debbie starred on the spinoff's next two seasons, which resulted in occasional appearances by Colt and Vanessa.

Colt and Vanessa were shown getting engaged on a dock at Big Bear Lake in Southern California during Season 1 of The Single Life in early May 2021 despite Vanessa's trust issues and the couple's struggle with Colt's high sex drive and relationship expectations.

Colt previously told Us Weekly how he and Vanessa actually got engaged on November 1, 2020 after only a month of dating. (Colt was spotted filming proposing marriage, however, on November 26, 2020).

During 90 Day: The Single Life's first-season Tell All special in Spring 2021, Colt shocked viewers by saying he and Vanessa had secretly wed.

"I love Vanessa so much I married Vanessa and didn't tell anybody in this f-cking room," Colt said at the time.

Colt and Vanessa tied the knot while enjoying a road trip through Reno, NV, about a month before the Tell-All taping, In Touch reported.

"I wanted something just for Vanessa and I," he explained of keeping Debbie out of the loop about his marriage. "It was very important that I showed Vanessa that it was just for her and I."

Colt and Vanessa moved in together after they eloped and got married.

In January 2022, Vanessa said on the Tell-All for 90 Day: The Single Life's second season that she had moved out of Colt's home and they were "separated" at the time.

Colt lamented about how he was Debbie's "anchor" in life, and Vanessa said she was tired of Debbie's constant interference and living under Debbie's roof.

Vanessa said her breaking point was when she had suffered a miscarriage, which the pair publicly announced in October 2021.

Debbie claimed she was "heartbroken" for Vanessa and Colt's loss but she had allegedly been paying all the bills and felt her son was unappreciative.

"Do you know how many times I've been there to support you?" Debbie asked Colt. "I don't even want you in my life anymore. You make it miserable; you make me miserable."

Colt and Vanessa, however, worked things out and stayed together, all the while trying to maintain their distance from Debbie.

Colt filed for divorce from his first wife, Larissa Dos Santos Lima -- with whom he starred on Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance and Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? -- in January 2019 after an explosive fight in his Las Vegas home.

Colt finalized his divorce from Larissa in April 2019, and Vanessa's divorce from her ex-husband, True Maudsley, became official in November 2020.

Once his divorce was finalized, Colt struck up a romance with Jessica Caroline and the pair starred on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.

Colt admitted on the show he had cheated on Jessica with Vanessa, and his romance with Jessica ended in October 2019.

Jess therefore asked Colt why he started dating her when he was clearly still wrapped up in Vanessa, and Colt replied, "Because Vanessa said, 'No.' If she said, 'Yes,' I would've dated her in a second. I'm sorry that you were in a sh-tty relationship with me. It was a summer fling."

Vanessa said on the Season 5 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Tell-All that she liked Colt only "as a best friend" because she "wouldn't trust him as a boyfriend." Colt, however, insisted he had never cheated on Larissa.

Although Colt and Vanessa insisted they were just friends for months, the pair were photographed walking hand-in-hand down a Las Vegas street in September 2020. Colt also changed his appearance and grew a beard, which Vanessa had confessed is more like her "type" in men.

Jess went on to wed a man named Brian Hanvey.
