The pair that won Fox's Skating with Celebrities has become a trio, as Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler reportedly welcomed the birth of their son on Friday.
"We are absolutely ecstatic at the arrival of our first child," Kristy said through her representative, according to People. "Magnus is a wonderful little boy."
Kristy, a 37-year-old Hollywood actress, and Lloyd, a 43-year-old two-time Olympic pairs figure skating medalist and world champion, were paired together by Fox for Skating with Celebrities in the summer of 2005. The pre-taped reality competition series premiered in January 2006, one month after the couple reportedly started dating. During its first episode, judge Dorothy Hamell criticized Kristy and Lloyd for "not having more of a connection" -- but she couldn't have been more wrong -- because in February it was learned that Lloyd's then-pregnant wife blamed an affair between her husband and his skating partner for breaking up their marriage. "I was shocked, upset and betrayed," Marcie Eisler reportedly said at the time, adding she and Lloyd had separated but were still "working on their relationship" when Skating with Celebrities came calling. Marcie said she first became suspicious Lloyd was having an affair with Kristy when she flew out to Los Angeles to visit him while the show was taping. Kristy reportedly forwarded Marcie an email in October that basically confirmed her relationship with Lloyd, which led him to eventually admit to it and leave Marcie in early November. Lloyd and Marcie reportedly signed their separation agreement on November 30 and are now divorced. Kristy and Lloyd currently live together in Los Angeles and announced they were expecting a child last August. "I love being a father and there is nothing that can replace that little smile from your baby knowing that you have made that happen," Lloyd said in a statement, according to People. While Kristy and Lloyd plan to wed, the couple has not yet set a date for their wedding, People reported. |
