Kara DioGuardi celebrated the Fourth of July weekend with some wedding fireworks.

The American Idol judge married longtime boyfriend Mike McCuddy on Sunday in Prospect Harbor, ME at the town's United Methodist Church, Us Weekly reported Monday.

"They are absolutely in love with each other," Pastor Scott Nurse, Sr., who officiated the wedding, told Us. "When I told him he could kiss the bride, everybody cheered. It was a very close, small family-type service."

While the wedding was attended by 30 of the couple's friends and family members, none of DioGuardi's Idol peers were in attendance.

"I don't think they'd appreciate an invitation to Prospect Harbor, Maine," DioGuardi told Us last month. "I can't really see Simon Cowell landing in Prospect Harbor. I don't think that would happen."

DioGuardi and McCuddy got engaged last December while vacationing in Mexico but didn't make it public until the same day as Idol's eighth-season debut in January.

In addition, DioGuardi became a stepmother to McCuddy's daughter from a previous relationship.

DioGuardi plans to join Idol's current ninth-season auditions later this summer, according to Us.
