Us Weekly said Fox made the revelation on an episode of "The Meredith Vieira Show" to air Monday.

"He is absolutely the love of my life," Fox said, admitting her romance with the recording artist was "difficult."

"I really, really cared for him and I loved him very, very much and I always will, but he just wasn't right for me," she said.

"That's hard when you really, really love a person in your heart, you want to be with them, but you finally have to say, 'He's just not right for me.'"

Fox was recently seen on "The Celebrity Apprentice" and in the TV movie "Sharknado 2: The Second One." Her other film credits include "Independence Day" and "Kill Bill."
