U.S. hotel heiress and budding recording star Paris Hilton is being sued in Los Angeles for a crash in which she was not directly involved, a report says.

Ivan Alvarez and Monica Delgado have filed the suit in Los Angeles Superior Court saying they were rear-ended in a four-car collision set off by Brooke Ashley Brinson, who was driving Hilton's car, E! Online reported.

The couple reportedly claim they suffered "serious injuries" and are seeking compensation for emotional distress, loss of wages, medical bills, loss of earning capacity and property damage, TMZ.com reported.

Attorney Mauro Fiore Jr. told TMZ.com that Hilton only carried $5,000 worth of insurance for property damage, so he is suing Hilton and Brinson for $250,000 apiece.
