Los Angeles Police officers reportedly noticed Hilton driving erratically early Thursday morning and pulled her over. They administered a sobriety test and it registered .08 which in California is the minimum level for DUI, TMZ.com reported.

Hilton was taken into custody at the LAPD Hollywood division; she was reportedly very cooperative with the police.

"The Simple Life" star was allowed to leave a few minutes after her sister, Nicky Hilton, her sister's boyfriend Kevin Connolly and her publicist Elliot Mintz arrived at the station and posted $5,000 bond.

Hilton had attended a charity event Wednesday evening as well as an Us Weekly magazine party and hit one nightclub, Mintz told TMZ.

He said Hilton had drank one margarita the whole night, but had not eaten anything.

Being convicted of DUI is a misdemeanor. The defendant will not be jailed but will have to enter an alcohol program and have their license restricted for 90 days.
