The Bachelorette alum Dean Unglert is sharing updates on his recovery in the hospital after dislocating his hip and fracturing his femur in a skiing accident in Switzerland.

Dean apparently took "a nasty spill" in the Swiss Alps earlier this week, which landed him in the hospital for Christmas.

"All my life i've dreamt about skiing the swiss alps. how could you not? they're huge and beautiful and have some of the best snow in the world. today, however, was not my day," Dean captioned a photo of himself in a hospital bed with an oxygen tube in his nose on Tuesday.

"I was sending just a liiiiitle too hard and took a nasty spill which ultimately put me here. and since this is probably going to be the only pic i get in switzerland, i figured i gotta post it."

He added at the time, "The swiss mountain rescue blew my mind today. it took me about an hour to flag someone down for help but once i did, i was airborne and in surgery in less than an hour. a dislocated hip and fractured femur put 4 screws and a plate in my leg but things could have been so much worse and for that i am extremely grateful!"

"Looks like i'll be celebrating xmas in a hospital bed this year," he concluded.

Dean shared on December 23 he was "trying to find positives" in a "12 week recovery time."

"The first thing i thought of was that now i can focus on learning the instrument i bought 3 months ago and haven't played once. anything else?" Dean wrote on social media.

One day later, the Bachelor in Paradise alum took to Twitter and wrote, "Just got out of bed and stood up for the first time in 41 hours. that felt good."

Dean then confirmed on December 25 there were four screws put into his body.

"Hobbled over to the x-ray room this morning. doctors are happy with the position of the screws. turns out there are actually 4 screws hah," he tweeted.

And more recently, on Thursday, Dean shared a little too much information with fans, writing on Twitter, "I just pooped for the first time in 83 hours."

Around the same time, Dean's girlfriend Caelynn Miller-Keyes shared a slideshow of photos of the couple and captioned it, "See you soon Lorax."

Dean found fame on Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette before participating in several Bachelor spinoffs.

Dean began dating Caelynn on Bachelor in Paradise 6 this past summer after she had competed for Colton Underwood's heart on The Bachelor's 23rd season.

Earlier this year, Dean gushed to Us Weekly about how his relationship with Caelynn is "monumentally different" from other women he's dated in the past. Dean was previously linked to Kristina Schulman, Danielle Lombard and Lesley Murphy from The Bachelor world alone.

"She's very intelligent and compassionate. I am able to be myself around her and she's able to be herself and that's how we create synergy and build around each other," Dean explained at the time.

"For the first time in my Bachelor franchise relationship history, I feel like I'm able to say what I want, do what I want and allow my partner to build with me while I'm doing that."

Dean, however, admitted earlier this month getting married to Caelynn is not in the cards for them.

"That's never going to happen," Dean told the magazine.

"She does joke around about us getting married all the time, and I always say, 'Sorry, it's not going to happen.' I don't know, I'm super unconventional and she obviously is a little more conventional."

"We joke around about it," he added. "Just try to keep expectations to a minimum, you know? Like I said on the show, underpromise, overdeliver."
